It's Back to School for children around the world and that goes for refugee children as well. Whether in informal education settings at camps or community centers, Blossom Hill is working to ensure that conflict-affected children from the Middle East continue to learn and thrive.
Blossom Hill Fellow Lexi Shereshewsky will be opening the Blossom Hill Early Childhood Center this fall at the Azraq School in Azraq, a small remote town in central-eastern Jordan. The school will be inspired by Montessori methodology, a child-centered educational approach, time-tested over 100 years in diverse cultures throughout the world, that promotes the development of the whole child -- physical, social, emotional and cognitive.
A team of international architects (@Emergency Architecture Human Rights) and over 20 Syrian and Jordanian local workers are on the field every day building the new school where the Blossom Hill Early Childhood Center will be hosted!
