Sisters 4 Sisters (S4S), a girls empowerment program launched by Class of 2017 Blossom Hill Fellows Alyssa Hoseman and Mina Sharifi in Afghanistan is thriving! About 200 girls of all ages applied for 60 spots in the program this year. To accept all the applicants, older girls who completed the S4S program were hired as mentors to the younger girls. The program is changing many lives in Kabul and is expected to expand to all provinces where there are Girl Scout troops. One mentor said: "In S4S, we learned the responsibilities towards ourselves, our family and society. This program motivates us to become independent leaders in the future." Blossom Hill is proud of have seeded this program. 🌱
